fansalternative.com is an independent comparison tool for creator monetization platforms. We are not affiliated with any platform we list.
What we collect
Analytics (automatic)
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. This collects:
- Pages visited, referrer URL, country (derived from IP)
- Browser type and device category (desktop/mobile)
- Custom events: quiz steps, calculator usage, button clicks, scroll depth
Vercel Analytics is privacy-friendly: it does not use cookies, does not track users across sites, and does not store IP addresses. Data is aggregated and cannot identify individual users.
Email (optional)
If you choose to enter your email after completing the quiz, we collect:
- Your email address
- Your quiz answers (to provide personalized recommendations)
Your email is sent to Google Sheets via a webhook for storage. We do not sell or share your email with third parties.
UTM parameters
If you arrive via a link with UTM parameters (e.g. ?utm_source=twitter), we store these in your browser's session storage to understand which channels bring visitors. This data is not persisted after you close the tab.
What we don't collect
- We do not use cookies
- We do not use Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel
- We do not run retargeting or advertising
- We do not sell any data to third parties
Third-party services
- Vercel — hosting and analytics (privacy policy)
- Google Fonts — font delivery (privacy policy)
- Google Sheets — email storage via webhook
Your rights
Under GDPR (EU) and CCPA (California), you have the right to:
- Request access to any personal data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your data
- Opt out of data collection (our analytics are cookieless and anonymous by default)
